|We are so proud and excited to introduce Kidsfirst West Rolleston - a brand new state of the art kindergarten facility coming soon to this Canterbury community.|
SOME OF OUR TOP STORIES
Located right by the new West Rolleston School the kindergarten is on track to open for families in Term Four of this year (2017), catering for up to forty children aged 2 – 5 years.
Rolleston’s newest learners can look forward to an attractive, lightweight, environmentally friendly, single storey building and spacious outdoor garden and playground area that maximizes use of our Kidsfirst Design Principles.
“Our kindergartens need to be inspirational places that bring people together. Places to enhance learning and teaching and to welcome new and existing families,” says Kidsfirst Business Development Manager Jenny Pitama.
Kidsfirst West Rolleston will be a community place, reflective of Kindergarten’s New Zealand heritage and an environment reflecting both our bicultural commitment and the wairua (spirit) of it’s locality.
The design vision for inside is a spacious, interesting and inspiring space encouraging critical thought, wonderment, enquiry and intellectual stimulation.
Plans for the outdoor area include a natural, native landscaped garden complete with playground equipment to provide challenges and opportunities for risk-taking and fun.
“We are very excited to have development of this fantastic early childhood education facility underway and look forward to keeping you up to date as we grow Kidsfirst West Rolleston from the ground up,” adds Jenny.
Like every quality Kidsfirst kindergarten and early learning centre across the network it will be a place to be proud of and somewhere that – like our values and vision – will stand the test of time.
