Kidsfirst Hokitika's Christmas float
In December Hokitika held their annual Christmas Parade, which was run by their local Lions Club, and Kidsfirst Hokitika had a very special role to play.
They entered an incredible float, adorned with Kiwi icons that the children chose themselves. There were jandals, a hokey pokey icecream, a sheep, a kiwi, a pavlova, a chocolate fish, an L&P bottle, a rugby ball and a giant tomato sauce squeezy bottle, all sustainably built with recyclable materials.
The weather was warm, the float looked amazing and teachers Annette Copping and Ceridwyn Dimmick said everyone who participated felt a sense of achievement from being involved in such a fun day.
