SOME OTHER STORIES...
Hats off to kind people...
Children at Kidsfirst Hargest Crescent have been warm and cosy this winter, thanks to the wonderful donation of loads of hand-knitted clothes, lovingly created and sent from some kind New South Wales knitters to the Christchurch City Mission.
Meanwhile Kidsfirst Woolley Street has received a heart-warming cash donation from four young students from Victoria, Australia.
Aged 11-12, Monique, Layla, Sophie and Sarah are part of a team called H.O.P.E (Helping Other People Everyday.), where groups chose a natural disaster and fundraised to help communities in need.
The girls wanted to help out young children because they believed in the importance of a great start to childhood.
KIDSFIRST KINDERGARTENS ARE A NOT FOR PROFIT ASSOCIATION THAT HAS DEVELOPED AND MAINTAINED KINDERGARTENS IN CHRISTCHURCH, CANTERBURY AND ON THE WEST COAST FOR OVER 100 YEARS - AS THE PLACE LOCAL KIDS COME TO LEARN, PLAY AND HAVE FUN.
Kidsfirst is again lucky to be on the receiving end of other people's charitable efforts.
