Touching Technology

Absolutely thrilled - that's the response of the team at Kidsfirst Pitcairn Crescent to their success in securing two new computers for the children. 

After an exhausting grants application process, the kindergarten triumphed, gaining funding from the Christchurch City Council and Community Trust to purchase two new computers, one a touch-screen. 

For many children, it will be their first experience of touch-screen technology, says Head Teacher Christine Nicoll. 

“We're so thrilled to get them, and give the children the opportunity to learn alongside each other with educational games and maths, and using the mouse, it's going to be great.”



 

KIDSFIRST KINDERGARTENS ARE A NOT FOR PROFIT ASSOCIATION THAT HAS DEVELOPED AND MAINTAINED KINDERGARTENS IN CHRISTCHURCH, CANTERBURY AND ON THE WEST COAST FOR OVER 100 YEARS - AS THE PLACE LOCAL KIDS COME TO LEARN, PLAY AND HAVE FUN.

Kidsfirst Pitcairn Crescent is enjoying two new computers.

One uses touch-screen technology and it's all thanks to the Christchurch City Council and Community Trust.
