|During their first term open tamariki at Kidsfirst West Rolleston have enjoyed all of the many different aspects of exploring and discovering their new environment.|
SOME OF OUR TOP STORIES
“Children have developed a real sense of belonging and are beginning to form some really lovely, strong relationships,” says Kidsfirst West Rolleston Head Teacher, Victoria Rodger.
“Our older tamariki have really guided this disposition as they have shown care and respect to our younger children.”
There has also been a lot of interest in seeing what is happening outside their kindergarten gates. Watching the rubbish truck drive past on a Friday morning has become a real highlight.
“We were also fortunate to have a kindergarten Dad drop off a tractor tyre and some car tyres – that have made fun additions to our playground,” says Victoria.
This term they have also started planting their kindergarten vegetable garden, with some of the little garden seedlings and plants kindly sourced or donated from families.
We’re so glad to hear you’re off to such a great start Kidsfirst West Rolleston.
