"Qualified teachers are a draw card for parents," says ex-teacher and former parent...

Before her first son was born, Anne McClimont was a qualified kindergarten teacher. She says the fact that Kidsfirst is 100% committed to having fully qualified teachers was a real draw card for her.

"I think it's the only way to go. I get frustrated when I hear talk about letting untrained teachers in, it's just asking for trouble."

Anne, along with her husband John, were special guests when Kidsfirst Cotswold Ave celebrated Vintage Car Day as part of the 100 Days of Kidsfirst Kindergartens in 2013.

She is a strong advocate for kindergarten and the importance of properly trained and qualified teachers.

Anne says she found kindergarten really receptive to her ideas in her roles as both a parent and a teacher.

"It was great to be able to be involved as a parent but then also understanding things from the teachers' point of view."

This commitment of Kidsfirst to 100% qualified and registered teachers spans every single person in our educational workforce, which numbers over 300. It's one of the things that makes us special.

Here are some pictures from our Vintage Car Day at Kidsfirst Cotswold Ave.
